Primary Job Duties:
- Grind and slice meats using powered grinders and slicing machines
- Cut, weigh, package, label and price meat and meat products for sale
- Suggest complementary and/or alternative meat to consumers
- Inspect the quality of meat and expiry dates and ensure proper product rotation
- Ensure the maintenance of equipment, displays and work area
- Receive and store merchandise in accordance with the company's established standards
- Comply with government health and safety standards and occupational health and safety standards.
Expected Qualifications
- Some secondary school education is required. We will provide on-the-job training.
- Basic cleaning and maintenance skills.
- Good health condition
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items properly.
- Ability to work with others
- Time management skills
- Speak and understand English.
- Courses in first aid, food safety and handling of workplace hazardous materials are assets
